Admission Procedure
At CSB Zilla School, Sambalpur, we welcome students who are eager to learn, grow, and contribute to our proud tradition of excellence. The admission process is designed to be transparent, merit-based, and student-friendly.
Eligibility
• Admissions are open for Classes VI to X (as per government norms).
• Students must meet the age and academic criteria prescribed by the School Education Department, Government of Odisha.
Application Process
1. Obtain the Admission Form from the school office or
download it from the official website (if available).
2. Fill in all required details carefully and attach necessary
documents:
o Birth Certificate
o Transfer Certificate
o Previous School Report Card
o Passport-size Photographs
o Caste Certificate (if applicable)
o Aadhar card of students and parents
o Bank passbook of students
3. Submit the form to the school office within the notified dates.
Selection
• Admission is granted on the basis of merit, availability of seats, and government admission guidelines.
• For certain classes, a written test or interview may be conducted to assess basic learning levels.
Important Note
• All admissions are subject to approval by the Headmaster and the District Education Office (DEO) where applicable.
• The school strictly follows the Right to Education (RTE) norms and ensures equal opportunity for all applicants.

Admission Guidelines
CSB Zilla School, Sambalpur, admissions are conducted in a fair and transparent manner in accordance with the Department of School & Mass Education, Government of Odisha. The following guidelines are provided to help parents and students understand the process clearly.
1. Admission Schedule
• Admission forms are issued and accepted during the official admission period as notified by the school or education department.
• Late submissions will not be entertained except under special circumstances approved by the Headmaster.
2. Eligibility
Criteria
• Admission is open to boys and girls who meet the age and qualification requirements for the respective class.
• The student must have completed the previous class from a recognized school.
• For fresh admissions to Class VI, age criteria as per government regulations must be followed.
3. Documents Required
Applicants must submit the following documents along with the admission form:
• Birth Certificate / Transfer Certificate
• Marksheet or Progress Report of the previous class
• Aadhaar Card (photocopy)
• Passport-size Photographs (2 copies)
• Caste Certificate / Residential Certificate (if applicable)
4. Admission Procedure
• Admission will be based on merit, availability of seats, and verification of documents.
• For certain classes, the school may conduct a written test or interview to assess the student’s readiness.
• All admissions are subject to approval by the Headmaster.
General Instructions
• Incomplete forms or incorrect information may lead to rejection.
• Admission once granted can be cancelled if documents are found invalid or forged.
• The school reserves the right to make changes in the admission schedule or procedure as per official directives

Withdrawal Policy of Students
At CSB Zilla School, Sambalpur, we maintain proper records and procedures for the withdrawal of students to ensure smooth documentation and accountability. Parents and guardians are requested to read the following guidelines carefully before initiating a withdrawal request.
1. Application for Withdrawal
• A written application for withdrawal must be submitted to the Headmaster by the parent or guardian at least one week in advance.
• The application must clearly mention the reason for withdrawal and the class in which the student is currently enrolled.
2.Transfer Certificate (TC)
• The Transfer Certificate (TC) will be issued only after:
o All school dues and library books have been cleared.
o The application has been approved by the Headmaster.
• Normally, the TC is issued within 7 working days after verification and clearance
3. Mid-Year Withdrawal
• If a student is withdrawn in the middle of the academic year, the fees for the current term must still be paid in full.
• Mid-year withdrawals should be avoided except for genuine reasons such as transfer of parents or health issues.
4. Disciplinary Withdrawal
• The school reserves the right to withdraw a student’s admission in cases of serious misconduct, indiscipline, or violation of school rules, after due notice to the parents.
5. Record Maintenance
• Copies of the withdrawal application and TC are retained in the school records for future reference.
