About school-Chandra Sekhar Behera (CSB) Zilla School, Sambalpur, began as the Sambalpur Public School in 1850, was taken over by the government in 1852, became a Zilla School in 1864, was renamed Morris School in 1882, returned to being a Zilla School in 1890, and was finally named CSB Zilla School in 1952 after former teacher and freedom fighter Chandrasekhar Behera. The school underwent several changes in location and management before settling into its current site in 1954.
